Riding a motorcycle is an exhilarating experience when you know how to ride properly. There is nothing like feeling the wind in your face, smelling orange blossoms as you drive through the country in spring time, and feeling the warmth of the sun on your back. There is a sense of freedom when you are the only one on the road, hugging corners effortlessly, acting as one with the machine underneath your body. Any reason you choose to ride is no doubt a good one, because you will find that riding is quite enjoyable. There are however, a few simple steps to follow in order to ride safely. These steps are to start the motorcycle, shift gears correctly and brake efficiently.

Starting a motorcycle is a very simple task, but requires several steps. The first step is to correctly mount the motorcycle from the left side. The reason for doing this is because the bike is already learning to the left on it’s side stand, and mounting from that side will minimize your risk of falling and possible serious injury. Once you are comfortably on the bike, you must lean it off the side stand and kick the stand up underneath the bike.
