meaning of life

What does it mean to be a human? For centuries we as mortals have contemplated the question of what it means to be a human. So actually being able to define what it manes to be a human is an overwhelming task that may never be completed. There are so many different aspects that make a human what they are, and it is nearly inconceivable to describe what it means to be a human because humans are the most complicated creatures known to man both mentally and physically.

Humans have the capability of distinguishing between ideas and impressions. Ideas are built up from thoughts, beliefs, and memories related to impressions. Ideas that follow simple impressions come from resemblance, contact, and cause and effect. Impressions are emotions and other vivid mental phenomena. For the most part, we understand matters of fact according to cause and effect, where a direct impression will lead us to gather some overlooked cause. Basically from a persons past observations and experiences they can make a prediction that something will happen due to that persons understanding of what has happened in the past.

Impressions and ideas are not the only things that humans gather; humans have other functions such as instincts that include emo

Unlike Brave New World, Hamlet is a play where all the characters get to think freely and feel all the emotions that every human being should be able to feel. This play shows a lot of what humans are. There are characters that are good and there are characters that are bad. Hamlet is the main character and he lives with his family, but his father gets murdered and his mother remarries. Hamlet is a good character, but he comes across as being psychotic to most of the other characters. He shows a lot of stress throughout this book and stress is a normal day occurrence in the real world. People feel stress when they have to wake up and go to work, they feel stress when something bad happens to them or a loved one, and they feel stress when they have to figure out something that is of importance to that person. There are many ways to be stressed and Hamlet shows that he is stressed when he seeks revenge for his fathers' death. Revenge is another aspect that humans feel wh!

In Silas Marner, the author demonstrates an unconditional love between Silas and Eppie. He falls in love with Eppie practically right after he found her on his doorstep. When it is discovered who Eppie's real father is, Eppie still would rather live with Silas because she knows that he was always there for her. I think that Silas and Eppie were prime examples of what a good father daughter relationship should be. I feel that my family and I have an unconditional love for each other. I also feel that unconditional love is a main ingredient that every person should have with his or her family.

In the book Brave New World people are cloned and then conditioned to handle certain tasks. Once they go through their conditioning they are placed in their social class so that they can start doing whatever it is that they were taught to do. In this book the people do not have many choices for the way that they feel. It would be best to say that they are programmed what to think and what not to think. I feel that this is a terrible thing for the reason that it is important to the human race to contain individuality amongst each other.

en then need to get even for something that has caused harm.

t that she loves Mr. Darcy. I feel that both Jane and Elizabeth get in relationships were they have found true love. I really admire these two girls because they know what they wanted and they waited out for it. Patience is what I feel a lot humans lack these days and I really appreciate the fact that Elizabeth and Jane waited for the right man to marry and love unconditionally because I feel that the person that you marry is one of the most important aspects of life. One of the other sisters gets married as well, but it is obvious that it is not true love. I did not like this book to begin with, but I found it very interesting once it gets to the end. It is a book that gets the reader thinking that it is not a good idea to judge someone by
