It was a cold April morning, and there was a slight fog setting in as we drove to the hospital. We arrived there at 7:00 a.m., and then we went to the maternity ward. Mom was soo scared! The day was finally here, I was going to have a little sister! I didn't know what to think, I was so freaked about not being the only one. I mean I'd been the only child for almost 17 years, what was I going to do with a baby sister? Would she be handicapped? I'd heard about babies being born with all sorts of strange problems. They wrapped my little sister in a soft warm blanket and handed her to me. that had to have been the strangest feeling in the world! They took her into the other room and gave her, her shots and patted the liquid out of her lungs. Mom went into her room and waited to see her new baby. Mom and the baby stayed at the hospital for 2 days and then they finally got to come home.
