A detailed Summary of Dallas

This last past week I spent in Dallas. It was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. I remember sitting in my bed the day before I went, and thinking " Well gee I am going to Dallas" I wasn't really excited for the fact that I was going to Dallas boy oh boy, I was so ready to show off all that we had been working on, how talented the little band from Manitou Springs Colorado, that no one has heard about. Well it was finally 2am and I was ready to go. I arrived at Manitou and boarded the bus. I was so tired that I went to bed, the next thing I know is that we are getting our tickets and going over to board the flight. I got on the plane and settled into my seat thinking about all of the exciting things we are going to do. I have this thing about planes though.... I am so scared to fly, and of course when I told Dr. Hopwood that him and Mr.Person just jumped on the chance to make me even more scared, now, most people would be mad that they were doing that, but I wasn't !

so hot and there was a pool at the hotel so we all raced up the stairs to go look at the pool boy were we upset when we couldn't go out because there was a tornado watch, right then I remembered that I was in Texas. Well we settled in and then not even an hour after we had gotten there we had a rehearsal. The percussionists did not have to play because we did not have any equipment, so I got to listen. Man we were in this little room with no windows and it was so hot, but the music that came out of us was amazing, I just closed my eyes and I felt the music, because every last bit of energy was put into the music they played. It was dinner time now and it was on our own. So my roommates were planning to do to Dennys, they invited me to go too. Well I was tired and so I looked at how far Dennys was, and oh my it was so far away you could barley make out the sign, so I opted out, and I just went to bed, when I woke up I was so hungry, but everyone had eaten, so I was kind of in a!

back Erin went to go use the restroom, and overflowed the toilet. Oh my gosh it was so funny! I think the whole floor was in our room ;laughing at us. You could go swimming of you wanted to because there was so much water on the ground. Erin was so embarrassed. Anyhow I was tired so I went to bed feeling so excited about the next day!! We started off the next day by going for a tour of the Myerson Symphony Center. It was pretty cool but not too exciting, we continued through the tour until we got to Myerson Hall where we would be performing that night. So we sat down in the audience and looked at the stage. It was ok pretty big, then after the guy finished talking about it we went on stage. Oh my gosh was that a sight too see the whole place looked so amazing from on stage, and right then everything clicked. See I was getting real frustrated with band in general, but as soon as I got up there I realized what all of out hard work did for us. music is my whole life and just !

not even try to explain if my life depended on it because it was so unique a once in a lifetime feeling. Our performance was amazing the best I have ever heard out of out band, and the whole thing went but so fast. When I went to go sit back down in the audience I got so many complements about how incredible we sounded. We heard the rest of the bands, and then headed back to the hotel. We got an extended curfew, because I begged our directors the whole way home. Once we got to the hotel we went to my friends room to say goodbye because that was the last time I was going to get to see them. So we exchanged our phone number and e-mail addresses and stuff like that and went back to our room. After that I got a phone call from the people I just said goodbye to. The were not going to sleep that night and they asked if I was and I said no. So we ended up talking from 11:30pm till 4:50am and then they showed up at my door to say goodbye. They had all written me letters and gave me h!

We left the hotel and walked to the place that out banquet/ dance was being held. There was so many people there it was kind of like a sea full of people. They were all so nice too. We got called up in sections for food and of course percussion went last, oh well. Well while we ate dinner one of my favorite songs came on. Steal my kisses but Ben Harper, and so I grabbed a pepper shaker and started singing it, it turns out that someone was filming me the whole time, whatever school has that on film now I feel real sorry for because I bet I looked so stupid, but oh well it was so much fun. So the dance finally started and I love dancing so I was one of the first people there. The dance was a few hours long, and a ton of fun. I met so many people including a five that are my friends now! After the dance was over I went back to the hotel. When I got!
