The human ear is divided into three structural parts: the outer ear, the middle ear, and the inner ear. Also, each section has unique and interconnected functions.

The outer ear collects sound waves that are then transferred to the middle ear by vibrating against the ear drum (tympanic membrane). Sound waves are converted into a mechanical vibration by the bones in the middle ear. In the inner, specialized hair cells detect these mechanical vibrations, then trigger a nerve impulse that is sent
