Tale of Two Cities characters

Jarvis Lorry - He is the old businessman who works for Tellson's Bank. He is a very organized person with an honest and good heart.

Lucie Manette - She is a young French woman who grew up in England. She was raised as a child of Tellson's Bank when her parents were assumed dead. What Lucie does is she binds the other characters in the story together, serving as its central figure.

Doctor Manette - He is Lucie's father and an intelligent scientist. He has been imprisoned in the Bastille for eighteen years. Although he recovers his mental health during the novel, his long imprisonment scarred his mind. He proves to be a good father, whom Lucie loves dearly.
