The enemy

A detailed Summary of The enemy

As I shared with my soul mate, the warmth and the romantic glow of the sturdy marbled fireplace, inhaling and luxuriate towards the pleasant scent discharged from her exquisite body, I vaguely recall the ironic story of how love developed between us. The story of a young male lawyer discovering his true love with his sworn enemy.

It began at a cafe; "Starbucks" located in the busy heart of Sydney. In the misty early mornings of winter when all one want is a quite intimate time with his decaffeinated cappuccino with lots of chocolate powder on top and sometimes maybe a scone. As I approached the polished and spruced up counter of this famous cafe, I collided with a young lady in the queue, causing me to loose the race for the last warm creamy strawberry jam scone, from that second on; she was my sworn enemy. I didn't know her name, nor did I know what she did, but in my vocabulary, "one who made me loose a scone from Starbucks is definitely an evil human". After enjoying just the delightful double decaffeinated cappuccino while catching up on the latest news with The Herald, I was due for work. Entering the law firm fresh as a daisy, my merriment was overshadowed by one demonic person, you guessed it, it was "the lady you caused

When arriving back at the office, I demanded Kimberly to the office, placing myself on the black leathered seat, I stared at Kimberly for a considerable amount of time. Inspecting her nervous movements. My anger gradually unruffled and I learnt to accept the truth, I had a special pity for Kimberly, but I wasn't prepared to give in to my wrath, so I sent her out without a word accompanied with an angry look from me. Although I allowed her to leave with no punishment, I had already tagged her as "the enemy".

The beginning of a new day is the beginning of a new love...no... I was still incapable of removing Kimberly off my mind. During the morning at "Starbucks" I pondered furiously about the truth with Kimberly while staring mindlessly into The Heralds. During work, I seek her frantically, wanting to expose the truth. The knowing later from Joan that she had resigned.

Tears formed elegantly in her eyes, she lunged at me, hugging me tightly, showing all her preserved love. And at that spilt second, I realised what true love is...

It was time for lunch when the first hearing of the case had ended, I decided to celebrate a little since that the case went quite smoothly although I lost the notes. Although Kimberly was my sworn enemy, a meal was better when you have company, so I decided against my will to invite her. During the meal, I learnt more about Kimberly than I intended, and although I had forgiven her, what happened next provoked me more than ever. After the meal, Kimberly mentioned the need of grocery shopping, and seeing as the case went on smoothly I agreed. Arriving at the shops, we entered Coles, where she picked up several daily needs and microwave-able cuisine, upon wondering around, I also brought several junk food
