The Girl that Got Away

Disclaimer: The following is an exaggerated fairytale depicting actual events in my

life. It holds very little validity.

The rain stopped, clouds cleared, and the sun came out. The atmosphere was alive with a

sense of all around goodness. There were two young men standing in an open field taking

advantage of the beautiful weather during a predominantly rainy season. Both men were very

attractive. They were tall and fit, the perfect formula for gaining the affection of several of the

towns’ beauties. They were best friends and had been for ten years now. The older of the two

was named Michael. He had dark hair and was in amazing physical condition. The other was

named Drew. Drew was very tall and lean and had blonde hair. Although they looked nothing

alike, many people pictured them as brothers. They were both very sensitive men with calm,

relaxed personalities. They seemed to agree on everything and have everything in common, so it

was no wonder why they were thought to be related. The town they stood in was their birth

place. The town was called Wantagh. It was a fairly small town filled with many privately

owned establishments. Wantagh had a reputation for having the most beautiful and elegant
