College Experience
Leaving from home and exploring your own dreams are a very important part of maturing. For some, the physical separation from home is a difficult transition to college life. During my first semester away at Southwest Texas State, it was like a whole other world for me and plenty difficult. From trying to get adjusted to living a new life to keeping up good grades, it just wasn't what I expected. It made me realize that there are a lot of things I took for granted while living at home, and attending high school. I can't begin to think of all the times my alarm clock didn't go off, and my 1mom was there to make sure that I still reached school on time. When my alarm clock fails to go off at college, then the first class of the day is simply missed. Also at home, my breakfast was made to order: eggs, bacon, pancakes, or even French toast. In college, I found out that if a particular meal is edible, then you must stick with it. I could open a cabinet at home and find a variety of tasty foods readily available. In college, a meal card is swiped though a machine upon entering the cafeteria, and the word "tasty" rarely enters your mind. At home, mom makes sure the dishes are put away after e
