"To Give Anything Less then Your Best is To Sacrifice the Gift." Steve Roland Prefontaine was born in Coos Bay, Oregon, on January 25, 1951. Through out his life he established himself as one of the greatest American Running legends. He is the only person to ever hold the American record in all distances for 2,000-10,000 meters. The impacts of his short life can still be seen and heard today.
