As a member of Group 1 and one of the five colonists arriving on a new planet, my goal is to assist in establishing the six major institutions for this new society. Our six institutions are government, economics, education, religion, family and arts/entertainment. My contribution to this new society will be providing a structure for creation of the divine, or ideology, for the new planet. First let's examine our first institution, the government.

We decided to establish a total democracy that relies on free enterprise. We will divide the planet into six separate colonies, with leaders from each institution, until the voting process is in place. Political parties will become defunct, and the Electoral College will not be used for the election process. A straight flat tax of 15% will be placed on all workers and Social Security will no longer be needed. In the previous world where religious differences are too often the cause of tragedy and warfare, I propose a new community of spirit providing a forum where people of good will from every culture and faith tradition can come together, learn from one another, and develop a shared understanding that can inspire and uplift our new society.

The family is the core institution on this new colony. We will be free to decide the number of children we wish to bring into this new environment. You will be free to establish your residence anywhere feasible on this new planet. They say it takes an entire community to raise a child, and we will adopt this philosophy. The parents in conjunction with the community will contribute to the aspirations of the young. Parents will participate in the child's education on every level. We will expose our children to all aspects of this society, history; cultural ideologies; religion and spirituality; environmental issues; and arts and entertainment; in order to develop their minds and souls. The government will offer a tax incentive for guardians or parents who elect to stay home with their children; thereby creating a loving and caring bond.

The next institutions we addressed were economics. Our goal in establishing the economy of this new planet will be to supply our inhabitant's will all the products they will require. Our farming communities will be of the utmost importance in this new economy, since we only have food for one year. A flat tax of 8% will be taxed on wages and products, except for food or medicine. This tax will assist the education programs. By not abusing the land and environment, our future generations may not face what our previous planet did.
