big bang theory
The origin of the universe is still a debatable argument, faced by many scientists. The main theory that is protruding is the "Big Bang Theory", which has many scientist's backing it up, due to the amount of evidence. Nevertheless, many still are unsure of how it all began. The Big Bang postulates that about 13 billion years ago, the universe exploded into being, in an event called the Big Bang. What happened before is quiet unsure as this "was not an explosion in space and time, but was a explosion of space and time" . This is the reason why we cannot say what there was before the "blob". All the matter and radiation of our universe was a primeval fireball, which expanded quickly. For a fraction of a second 10-34to 10-32, the universe expanded at faster than the speed of light, driven by 'anti-gravity'. At 10-10 to 10-6, both quarks and anti-quarks existed, but due to the temperature, most of it was destroyed, leaving a tiny fragment of matter.* Quarks are the building blocks of protons and neutrons. The reason for the quarks holding together was the "strong force", another fundamental phenomena that appeared after a few seconds of the initial explosion. Formation of protons and neutrons proceeded with the small amount
Secondly, due to the violent explosion of the fireball, radiation from the explosion would have been sent out in all directions. This substance would be coming into Earths atmosphere as microwave radiation. Two scientists by the names of Amo Penzias and Robert Wilson discovered this "Background Cosmic Radiation". The energy and heat produced in the Big Bang was very dense and hot, but due to the expansion of the universe, the scientists discovered the radiation were only at 3K5. This is shown in Fig. 2. The gas spreads, thus lowering the density. Finally the evidence, which is equally forceful in favour of the "Big Bang" is that, as Martin Rees has put it, no discoveries have been made which invalidate it. " In principle it would have been easy to prove the Big Bang theory wrong. If they had found any stars with zero Helium abundance or even objects much older then the age of the universe, then the standard model would have been ruled out".7 of quarks left after the initial annihilation. These were the main constituents of atomic nuclei. Electron-positron pairs form and annihilate, again, leaving behind one billionth of the previous mass of electrons and positrons. The rest of the matter, that is not destroyed, begins to entangle with the electromagnetic force. This force enabled matter and photons to mix, thus entangling matter and energy. At three minutes, hydrogen and helium nuclei form from protons and neutrons.
