The economy is sure to teeter over the brink into recession with the events of September 11, 2001, making my employment search an even greater task. Since my separation from my former employer Flagstaff Steel, Inc. in May, the Executive Administrative Assistant opportunities in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex have been few and far between. According to the temporary agencies in which I worked before the attacks, Kelly Services, First Word, and Pro Staff, the job market had significantly declined this year due to a slowing economy. With America practically coming to a halt this past week, companies have promised to cutback even more.

At first I thought I had tuned into scenes from a movie until I turned the channel and the same view was on every station. I was horrified at what I was seeing! Four passenger airplanes had been hijacked and crashed as bombs in the United States: two into the World Trade Center Towers leveling them both, one into the Pentagon ripping a section into, and one nose-dived into a field in Pittsburgh leaving a twenty-five foot deep crater. President Bush immediately grounded all air travel in the US for two days and demanded the Federal Aviation Administration heighten its security measures before reopening to t
