Many times in society people who are well known throught the county tend to start things called "Fads". All to often people come up with the most outrageous combinations. Mabey as I get older, I am becoming more concervative in my style or the military has taken the up to date fashions away from me. It is kind of hard to understand why people had such problems with the flapper in the 1920's. I guess it is the same reason why painted on bathing suits are not so popular with our concervative society. To use the bathing suits as an example would be doing this paper an injustice, after all, I am going to explore the less exposing type of fashion.

With one extreme their must be another. Yes I am talking about the " Gangster look". This popular fashion tends to be toward the side of the minorities who feel that this look portrays who they are. The main characteristics of this look include the baggy bootleg jeans, a new pair of Timberland boots that are not laced up all the way. As a matter of fact they are not even tied up. To go along with the boot leg jeans are oversized button up collar shirts in many styles that include silk, suede and cotton. They are usually in solid colors that make it compatiable with many different combinations.
