At his young age he began learning and studying the "revelations and mysteries of the cabbla", Jewish theosophy, with his teacher, Moshe the Beadle (3). The Talmud was something that he devoted himself too during the day and the cabbala at night. Eliezer was able to escape when Moshe and Beadle were taken away in a cattle train. He saw how Hitler reign was destructive and despairing and came back to warn everyone, "…I wanted to come back and warn you…"(5). However some were not so grateful and thought that he had gone senseless. Eliezer's father, Chlomo, was a very well known man in the town of Sighet, where they lived.
