We as humans, we are afraid and worried about many things. We are afraid of death, loneliness, and rejections. Since we have so many things to be afraid and worry about, we don't really have freedom. To me, freedom is not to be afraid or worried about something. In other words, when I have no burden, then I am free. It is just like what Gerry Spence said, "A state of perfect freedom is a state of nothingness." NO matter how free we believe we are, there is always an invisible chain that fetters us. The shackle can be our family, people around us, the world we live in, and even ourselves.

We follow the roles of the religion meaning we are owned by that religion, therefore, we loose our freedom. Humans are afraid of loneliness. Humans are social animals; we cannot stand to be alone. We urge for sense of belonging, so we put ourselves into relationships. Once we are in the relationships, we give up our freedom to keep the relationship. WE can use marriage as an example. When two people get marry, it's their responsibility to take care of each other. They both give up the freedom to have love relationships with other men or women; because they have made a commitment to each other. There is no pure freedom after commitment.
