Jane Austen Style writing

It is a truth universally acknowledged that a single boy in possession of a good bike and fashionable haircut must be in want of a girlfriend.

However little known the feelings or views of such a boy may be on his first entering a junior high, this truth is so well fixed in the minds of the surrounding students, the he is considered as the rightful property of some one or other of their peers.

"Buffy darling," said her friend, Vicki, to her early one Monday morning, "have you heard that someone purchased the house next door to me?"

Buffy said that she had heard about it and asked whether there were any children moving in as well.

"Of course, why would I care if there were none." Shrieked Vicki; "there is the most adorable boy our age. After school today you should come home with me and we can find out more about him."

The excitement the girls felt at hearing this could not have been greater had they been given thousand dollar-shopping sprees at Abercrombie.

Once the girls were able to convince a parent to drive them to the Riverdale Shopping Center and they arrived, they set out to complete the task at hand. They needed to have the best outfits at school tomorrow so Brad would be notice them. The girls were each entertaining hopes of becoming a social interest of Brad's; unfortunately neither friend realized the other's plans for romantic entrapment of their common interest. When the girls had successfully avoided the undesirable punk group and thankfully gone unnoticed by their own social flock, they found themselves at last, safe in the self promoting, tight, cotton world of Abercrombie & Fitch. Here the pair found hip-hugg
