Drugs in Sports
While researching the subject “Drug usage in sports”, I have been able to find a lot of information of drugs that are being used and the side affects that they can cause. Many of the drugs that are used to enhance an athlete’s ability usually have harmful side affects along with them. The first article by Robert Sullivan, and Sara Song goes into detail about the Summer Olympics in Sydney, what drugs will be used by athletes and the tests that will be done to ban them from competing. The second article is an ESPN special section where the author is not identified. The article goes into detail about what kind of an athlete would use anabolic steroids and how they are taken. The second half of the article goes into detail about the different side affects that are present in men and women after taking steroids for a period of time.
