A plane full of English boys escaped Britain and their plane was shot down into a tropical island. As they are all marooned, the boys establish rules which are followed in the beginning but as they evolve on the island, all of their defects start to show and that leads to the separation of the group. They can no longer relate to what is civil and what is human. This essay will explain the defects of Ralph, Piggy and Jack, and how they contributed to the slide from civilization. Ralph is the chosen leader. He likes things to be in order and imposes rules so all of the boys can survive and avoid conflicts. Ralph has one objective, which to get off of the island.
