The standard heading of a memo consists of the captions To, From, Date and Subject. You may see these headings arranged differently in other memos but the standard format should be followed for this class. The subject line should be a brief statement that will help the reader identify the memo's content.

When creating your memo, left and right margins should be at least one inch wide. The body

The Writing Center staff will be happy to check your memos before they are submitted for grading. Memos should be in draft form before going to the Writing Center. Be sure to also bring the memo instructions with you. The staff will NOT write your memo for you. I will be obtaining a list from the Writing Center and will award bonus points for those who use this valuable resource. REMEMBER - leave enough time for revisions!
