William Bruce Rose is such an avid writer and singer that he is always writing from raw passion. In the process of writing "November Rain", he was not trying to persuade anyone. He was writing the song for another girl. He did not try to change society by any means, but somehow in his era, people tried to mimic his bad boy image. There are literally hundreds, if not thousands of web sights about him, and his band, Guns N Roses. Of course nearly all the web sights are pictures, and fan club bullshit, but most sights are in foreign languages, because his music is inspirational enough to become world renowned.

Near the beginning of the video after Axl plays a piano alone, a candle blows out before a statue of Jesus Christ. In Axl's lyrics he refers to the light of the candle as his love in which he writes "And it's hard to hold a candle in the cold November rain", and "So never mind the darkness, we can still find our way". If he is directing love as the light, then maybe he is indicating that Christ let him down. Xozi, in William Axl Rose Biography quotes Axl as Axl says, "I always won all the Bible contests. I taught Sunday school. I played piano. I knew more gospel songs than anybody I knew. I always thought I was cursed or something. Now I just feel pissed off. If there's somebody up there, I don't know. I just don't have a clue about it. I used to believe in God. Then he left me" (Xozi). Axl is again expressing what he feels at the time into words. Many people that believe in God may be turned off by this comment. Also in the video, a Christ statue cries blood, in which is usually symbolic for death. The lyrics never mention death, but in the video the beautiful girl Axl is with dies at the end. Axl, and the pretty girl are getting married in a church, which is partly a bond to God, and the girl dying breaks the bond. A religious person may view this video as good, bad, or just simply a video, depending on how deep one may analyze the video.
