seperate peace vs. dead poets

Everyone lives life differently; however, in the case of Neil and Finny, they loved life and always made it fun. Sharing many characteristics, Neil and Phineas, or Finny was what he was called, were almost like twins. Although they probably didn't look the same, they had many similar character traits. These two play main characters in two separate, but excellent stories. Neil and Finny both shared the inability to do what they really wanted; both 'seized the day', and tragically died in the end.

Both popular students, Neil and Finny were well liked at school. Neil attended an all guy's school in New England, as did Finny. Welton is the name of the wealthy school that Neil attended, and Finny was educated at Devon, another respected school on the East coast. As an avid athlete, Finny was recognized numerous times in the athletic department at his school. For instance, whenever Finny returned back to Devon, one of the first places he always wanted to visit was the gym, "…past the Trophy Room, where his [Phineas] name was already inscribed on one cup,
