Las Vegas Descriptive Essay
Driving into the famous town of Las Vegas, you wouldn't imagine that you were about to enter a twenty-four hour party. But that's exactly what I was about to experience. As I crossed the dry Nevada desert and topped the last bare hill, I couldn't believe the sight that was right before my very eyes. Everywhere I looked I saw flashing fluorescent lights, buildings that seemed to touch the sky, people walking the entire length of the Vegas Strip, taxis and buses speeding and so much more. I was about to embark on a wild three-day adventure. As I entered the famous Luxor Hotel and Casino, my eyes almost came out of their sockets. The hotel's architecture and design was amazing. The outer structure of the hotel was in the shape of a huge, black, Egyptian pyramid. The hotel's casino was located in the center of the first floor. I walked through the enormous casino and checked out all the slot machines and gambling tables. The sight of people hitting jackpots and winning more and more coins made me ready to turn twenty-one. The Caesar show ended with an amazing ceiling light show. I continued through Caesar's Palace and stopped at such as Versace, Abercrombie and Fitch, Virgin Records, Planet Hollywood, and Armani Exchange. I couldn't believe the high prices at Versace and Armani Exchange. I looked at the price for a fur jacket and discovered that it sold for $7,500. I left Caesar's Palace continued on down The Strip. I suddenly came across a huge crowd standing in front of the Treasure Island Hotel and Casino. I stopped to see what was going on and ending up watching a dramatic recreation of two pirate ships in battle. At the end of the battle, one of the ships was attacked by a canon and sank underneath the water. I later stopped to watch a volcano show with exploding fire and illuminated orange water. The sights of The Strip were spectacular but I was getting tired and my feet were killing me from all of the intense w
