Descriptive Exposition
Lake Gaston water is a water of dilution. Voluminous, sensitive, and embracing, drops jump from the surface, sprawling upon the trampoline that suspends me a foot above seemingly infinite depth. The cat cuts through the water, as if it were meant to be there, my presence merely a coincidence. The houses which dot the shoreline become nothing more than ceramic figurines like those painted by middle class housewives.
