Love and Death in Romeo and Ju

The theme of Romeo and Juliet is love and death and there interactions. Their love, no matter how strong, could not evade tragedy. Their families were rivals and even fate was not in favor of their love.

Fate plays a big part in the whole love and death perspective. Right from the start of the play we know that the love between Romeo & Juliet would end in death even the stars were plotted against them. "A pair of star-crossed lovers take their life." (Prologue.6). Fate might have been trying to end the battle been the Montagues and the Capulets by taking their most prized possessions, their children. "The fearful passage of their death marked love."(Prologue.9) Both of these quotes tell us from the beginning that the love of these two young adults was destined to end in death. But does love always turn out this way? Does every act of lust turn into evil in some way shape or form? So far, in life, I would agree with this statement but with time love will find a way to prove me wrong.

whole play is centered around the love and death of Romeo & Juliet. Love can bring characters down or up. They can be in love and be all happy but if the other person does not like them back then they are miserable. This was Romeo's state at the start of the play. He loved Rosaline but she didn't love him back, she was sworn not to wed. This was also the case of Paris. He was supposed to marry Juliet but she didn't love him back. After Romeo And Juliet fall in love they find out that they cannot marry because their families are rivals. This might have made their love more attractive because they are defying their parents which seem
