Ernest Hemingway

Ernest Hemingway is probably one of the most well known writers of American literature today and for years to come. He is known so well because of his all around different style from the way he writes too the way he switched from women to women. His life and works will be covered by four major topics which are Biography, Writing Style, Contributions, and Major Work.

Ernest Hemingway was born in a middle class home that his father built with his own bare hands, his home was located in Oak Park, Illinois. Ernest Hemingway was born at eight o'clock on July 21 1899. Ernest Hemingway was the second child of six, the rest of his family consisted of four sisters and on brother. Ernest Hemingway was the son of Dr. Clarence and Grace Hall Hemingway. He was named after his maternal grandfather Ernest Hall (Wilson).

Ernest Hemingway was born in the upper middle-class suburb known as Oak Park. Ernest Hemingway was taught to work hard at what ever he did, have a strong religion, and always stay in top physical shape. Hemingways parents told him that if he followed these guide lines that he would be able to succeed in any field that he chose to work in (Wilson).

Ernest Hemingway could no deal with his depression and paranoia, so on July 2, 1961 he shot himself in the head. He was almost 62. His father Clarence Hemingway shot himself in the head too, he had a bad financial situation.

Ernest Hemingway believes that everything that he has written has been about something that he has great knowledge about (Phillips, 21). Ernest Hemingway would never write about something that someone else has already written about. Ernest Hemingway thought it wasn't right (Phillips, 22). When Ernest Hemingway writes he trys to show all the different viewpoints about a subject (Phillips,23).

Ernest Hemingway believed that if you didn't take a break from writing that you would go stale. He liked to go fishing in between books (Phillips, 52). Ernest Hemingway believes that weather is very important to a good book (Phillips,37).

When Ernest Hemingway writes he trys to put the feeling of life in a story by showing the dimensions of life (Phillips, 35). Ernest Hemingway believes when you writes, you write for either yourself, your only love, or for perfection (Phillips, 13-14)
