Every summer moviegoers flock to the theaters to see what Hollywood has punched out as their big summer hits. Some do well and become successful blockbuster, while the others fail to stand up to their potential hype. Yet in the past few years it's seem as though movies themselves have become less entertaining, and more to the aspect of just making money. With every new movie comes new technology in films, which is good, but it can also be said that every movie then losses part of it's artistic and authentic view. Or it could just be that movies have become less entertaining and more to the point of just making money.Now try to remember the last movie you saw during the summer that didn't have explosions, gunfights, and one big car chase. It's hard, mainly because all most every summer movie is like that. Hollywood really hasn't been trying to put out any real great summer movies since the mid 90's. Movies like "Forrest Gump", "Pulp Fiction", "Fargo", and the classic "Dazed and Confused". All theses movies came out in the summer, all that were good, and all that did well at the theaters, not blockbuster huge, but enough to be a hit. Now
Maybe it's clear now that people are beginning to be tired of seeing the same old films again. So maybe it's time Hollywood take notice. If you want people to watch your films and be well known as a success you have to make the movies people really want to see, good movies. But Hollywood still seems to be flaunted by the cash with next summers line up of films. The new "X-Men", a "SpiderMan" movie, and the biggest of all, some say to be the biggest computer generated, digitally enhanced film of all time, the new "Star Wars". don't get me wrong, all of those movies did have some type of high tech, computer generated work to them. But ha, there no "Titanic", with a huge computer generated ship. You see those movies had something to them. They were original, daring, some times even over the limit. Movies like that get people talking, wanting to go see it again and again. They made money. What Hollywood never caught on to was that theses movies didn't have hardly any special effects, and were still able to beat out there epic action movies at the box office.
