Comparison of the Criminal Justice System and Social Service Work The Criminal Justice System is a very complex system. There are many sections and agencies in this system. Each of these sections provide a variety of service. One service that the Criminal Justice System provides is the rehabilitation of juveniles. There are many things that the Criminal Justice System does to help juveniles that are in trouble. There are similar agencies that do the same thing that the justice system does. An example of one of these agencies is Social Service Work. They are different agencies, but they provide the same service. The process of services in these agencies are done differently, Many steps are taken in the Criminal Justice System when a juvenile is arrested. First, the juvenile commits the crime and then he or she is arrested. Next, a decision has to be made whether or not to press charges. Once charges are filed, there is a court decision that has to be made. The suspect (juvenile) is either arrested or released (Justice 5).
