Discuss the concepts of "heaven", "home" and exile" as they were presented in each of Professor Middleton's presentations and the workshops you attended. How has your understanding of these terms been challenged by the information presented in this conference? What difference does it make?

How do people define the terms "Heaven", "Home" and "Exile"? How do these terms affect the daily lives of people? Although some people may define the terms "heaven", "home", and "exile" as three different places they are all the same place. "Heaven" may be considered by some to be a celestial place where one is taken to live with God when they die, but "heaven" is the world that we live on. "Home" might be considered by some to be just a place where one lives, but "home" is also the world that we live on. "Exile", might be considered by some to a place where one is banished from his home, but "exile" is also the world that we live on.

From a religious standpoint "heaven" is a celestial place where you go to be with God when you die. "Heaven" for some people is a location that is simply "up there", but is "heaven" really a location away from the world that we live on? Before I attended the I.S. conference I held a belief tha

"Exile may be defined as a place where one is banished from their home. Middleton defined "exile" as a place where you don't have God with you. Some may believe that in to be in "exile" you must be banished by someone else. However, I believe that one "exiles" themselves when they don't have God with them. Although people who are said to be "exiled" live in a building of some sort that they may call "home", they are not "home" since they are not with God. Those who perceive a world without God are not living at "home" and have "exiled" themselves from their "home".

t "heaven" is the world that we live on. As human beings, our power of perception has a strong influence on how we view our surroundings. As Professor Richard Middleton pointed out, there is no need to view the globe of the Earth with the North Pole on the top and with the North American continent facing out as would be the popular belief of some. We can perceive our world to be "heaven" when we take into account all of the joy and beauty that is around us that people normally associate with the celestial "heaven". Also, as I stated above, "heaven" is defined as a place where you are with God. However, it is my belief that we are with God on this world. Every person around us, every object in this world, all life on our world is a part of God and o
