When I was growing up I loved to watch cartoons. But I found myself asking one question, who draws these amazing characters? My favorite cartoons were Disney cartoons. Walt Disney was the best at what he did. His early life and family helped him become the genius he was. Walt Disney was a cartoonist and master of motion picture animation. He made the world fall in love with a large-eared mouse, a scheming duck, and dozens of other animal characters. As his career progressed he turned the making of full length animated films into an art form. Walt Disney lived on the edge of tomorrow but he dared to make his dreams come true. Walt Disney was born on December 5, 1901 into a modest Chicago household. His first name was taken from the congregational minister who baptized him, his middle name was Elias after his father. Walt Disney's father Elias Disney was a Canadian and of Anglo-Irish decent. Elias Disney had many different jobs through his life. Disney's mother Flora Disney was a lively, even tempered women. Walt Disney didn't start school in Marline until he was almost seven years old. His dad wanted him to wait until his sister could attend school at the same time as him. He went to the Park School, about a mile away from his house, but only spent tow years there. He had to leave because his brothers, Hebert and Raymond, saved up enough money and ran away so he had to help on the farm. Roy Disney was eight years older than Walt and he didn't like working the farm; only him and Ruth Disney did. His father got typhoid fever from their water well, he was in poor health for years. Roy Disney couldn't run the farm himself and it was too small to support a family. like chickens, pigeons, ducks, and pigs. He liked to work, even though caring Walt Disney died in St. Joseph's Hospital directly across the street from Disney Studio in Burbank. He also didn't make it to see Disney World's opening in October 1971. He did lead a very exciting full life. All in all Walt Disney made his wildest dreams come true. He was a great man with a great vision; he had a heart like a child.
