Experience
In life, experiences are the fundamental factors of survival during our migration to maturity. Experiences also mean challenges and changes that might last forever. Possibly most of our experiences were relatively good during our childhood or during our juvenescence. Most of the important experiences in my life betided in my childhood. In my sixth year of life, a lightning accident transformed my way of thinking about how nature works and absorbed me into the interesting world of science. At the same time, my worst experience occurred: my parents divorced, which divide my life between hating or loving. Seven years later, when I was 13, an enormous change occurred; I came to this new country to live with my father; which was for me very challenging in many manners. These were the most notable experiences in my life. A natural disaster can annihilate lives, but in my case, lighting framed part of my future. It was about six o'clock, a lightning storm was coming to the city. I was inquisitive about the storm since such beauteous phenomenon fascinates me. I was sitting outside the door when all of a sudden lightning struck the ground from six to ten meters away from me. I gave out a shriek because my eyes were hi
Last but not least, one of the most challenging experiences came about. I came to live for the first time with my father in a totally new country. I had so many questions digging in my head. I thought, "How would I get along with my father? Would it be difficult for me to learn English? Are my neighbors or my classmates going to be racists?" When challenges come to our lives we must fight and defeat them, and I knew that my doubts would vanish very soon. Luckily, my father was a good man. He considered me as the "apple of his eye." Subsequently, we became very good friends. On the other hand, on my first day at Hackensack Middle School, I was scared and not confident to be able to change the way of life and learn a new language. However, I had set a goal in my life, and it was to become a scientist and to succeed in society; but I had nothing to worry about, I had only to work a little hard, be nice to all students in the school, and be out of trouble. Now after four years, I am succeeding, but still working on my goals with big probabilities to reach them one day. The saddest personal experience I had so far in my life was when my parents broke apart. It was January, when my father went to Colombia to visit us. I saw the gloomy mood on his face. He started to altercate with my mother.
