A Time to Be Quiet?

"A Time to Be Quite or A Time to Get Killed"

Talking can sometimes be a good thing or it can either be a bad thing. Some people don't understand the concepts of "speak only when spoken to" and not just whenever they feel like it. Sometimes I have the tendency to talk out of turn and people don't even be talking to me. In the story "A Good Man Is Hard to Find", Flannery O' Connor reveals the character of the grandmother as the type of person that loves to talk and as one that thinks she know everything too. "The thought was so embarrassing that she turned red in the face and her eyes dilated and her feet jumped up...the cat, sprang onto Bailey's shoulder. Because the grandmother chose to keep her secret to herself, it cost her and her family their lives. Bailey got scared and the Misfit came along and killed all of them. This just proves that if the grandmother had told the truth in the first place, everything would have turned out ok.

ed to make it seem as if he should take the kids, only to benefit herself. She tried to convince her son not to go to Florida because of a hit man that she had read about in the newspaper that morning. She even put the paper up to her son's face and said read, "Here this fellow that calls himself The Misfit is aloose from the Federal Pen and headed toward Florida and you read here what it says he did to
