The Crystal Palace was originally erected in London, England in 1851. The construction system consisted of prefabricated and wrought iron elements along with glass. The palace was based on twenty-foot modules and designed by Joseph Paxton and Charles Fox. The Crystal Palace had extreme significance because it was the first large building constructed of metal and glass. In addition, the Crystal Palace was the first building erected in which the outer walls were not engineered to provide support for the structure. I believe the Crystal Palace's most significant contribution to building was it was the first building to be built pre- fabricated.

The evolutionary model by Darwin is based on 3 primary functions. First, blind variation. Second, selection process. Third, selective retention. Our design and creativity comes directly from our evolution. As we retain past experiences, products, and ideas we build from them. For example, the stagecoach and its design carrying over into the automobile. The similarities between the two are extremely similar. This is a perfect example of how evolution molded our design of the automobile. As in Darwin's evolutionary model, blind variati

The proposed structure of these walkways was as follows:

One of the major problems with the Hyatt Regency project was lack of communication between parties involved in the construction of the structure. In particular, the drawings prepared by G.C.E. were only preliminary sketches, but were interpreted by Havens as finalized drawings. These drawings were then used to create the components of the structure. Another large error was G.C.E.'s failure to review the final design, which would have allowed them to catch the error in increasing the load on the connections. As a result, the engineers employed by G.C.E., who affixed their seals to the drawings, lost their engineering licenses in the states of Missouri and Texas. G.C.E. also lost its ability to be an engineering firm.

All research is presented with innumerable opportunities for unpredictably varying the conditions in which the research is being performed. Controlling these is a hallmark of quality research. Some variance is to be expected and there's a way to measure these random errors. But when the variation comes from our own actions, we have failed to control or make all things equal, thus our study is not "ceteris paribus."

Rule-based reasoning is a form of laws set forth obtaining to a certain subject in which those laws must be relied upon in order to prove that subject's properties, like Kuhn noted. Rule-based reasoning can become too rule-saturated and out-dated easily. After all, are there really any fundamental rules that are certain? Experts within their respective fields are always pushing forward and challenging old rules and proving them wrong. A universal set of rules used for reasoning is just not a viable means for accuracy.
