In charlotte the crime rate is the lowest it has been in the past thirty years. The homicide rate have also recently dramatically decreased. The reason for the decrease in homicide cases could be a result of capital punishment. The death penalty is a big issue in the world today. It is important to support the government in its decisions to enforce capital punishment Every one has heard of a case where a defendant was put to death because of what a group of people assumed one did. For instance take the bombing Oklahoma City; a man by the name Timothy McVeigh was given the death penalty. He was accused of killing 168 people and wounding 600 more, and there were a lot of people that were affected by the act of utter terrorism.
