A detailed Summary of Goals


The task that we have chosen for our QFM project is to reduce the amount of wasted bagels by giving them to homeless people through homeless shelters and to help the homeless community in whatever way we can

The New York Bagel Shop located on 34 Street South throws away all excess bagels at the end of each day. Several times, we have gotten bags of bagels that would have been thrown out otherwise. These bagels are baked fresh each morning, and are still fresh at the time that they throw them out. Between 25-50lbs of bagels are discarded each day. So we had a talk with the Director of Services at YWCA (Joyce Pritchett) and she was
