Salem Witches
A strange thing happened to me last week. I was just leaving the Holyoke Mallafter buying a pair of Tommy Hilfiger jeans. It was the first time I had ever bough a Hilfiger item but for some reason I really wanted to. My boyfriend was driving home and I began to doze off while reading my copy of Witches and Historians. All of a sudden I woke up and found myself in a strange place. I got out of bed, walked outside and saw a bunch of people who looked like Puritans standing around arguing. I couldn’t really hear them but I caught a few words like “witch” and “disease” and “burn”. Right then I realized where I was. It was 1692 and I was in Salem, MA. I had just read about the Salem witch trials so I was well aware of the horrible events which I struggled with myself as to what to do. On the one hand, I did not feel it was my job to change history. On the other hand, I could not let innocent women be burned at the stake. I knew then what I must do.
