The purpose of this paper is to show moral of the play Everyman. The play begins with Death being sent down by God to take Everyman back to give an account or reckoning of his life. Of course Everyman pleads for Death to give him more time to get his book of reckoning ready, but Death would not allow it (as seen in lines 52-66).
