Since its creation The National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing has been verypopular in the southern states. But, in the past ten years its popularity has increased drastically across the country. This can be seen in the number of new speedways built with the main purpose of holding a NASCAR event, though they may only be visited once or twice in the ten month season this can be the main source of income for most of these tracks. For a fan going to a race it is not just a one day event, but an entire weekend ritual. Your weekend starts bright and early on Friday morning, groups of people will already be lining up to enter the speedway, so get there early if you want to avoid the longest lines. You may choose to stay at a hotel nearby the speedway, but room prices will be very expensive since you are stay over during a race weekend. Your best bet is to get a group of friends and take a camper, this way you can stay in the speedways “Infield”, which is the large grassy area inside most speedways. This area serves as a campground during races. Staying in the infield has a lot of advantage over staying in a hotel room.
