In the play A Raisin in the Sun by Lorraine Hansberry and in the short story "Running from Racists" by Suzanne Seixas. Both the Younger's and the Long's experience troubled situations dealing with money.

In A Raisin in the Sun the Younger's are surrounded by financial problems through out the entire book. In the beginning is when we notice most of their money problems. On page 10 Travis asks his mother (Ruth) for .50 cents and Walter asks "Why not?" to Ruth and in re
