The 4th commandment

The Ten Commandments are the basis for all morals. In a civilized world that we are supposed to have at this time, the Ten Commandments are more important to us now because on the very strength of them, and the very truth and guidelines of them. The Ten Commandments demand respect for God, and demand respect for each man to another.

Looking at the Ten Commandments realistically, positively, understandingly, reasonably, logically, and obediently, the wisdom that is contained within each Commandment is simple and yet profound. They leave no question as to what is allowable by God for the good of our soul. They leave no room for doubt as to what he wants us to do and to not do. Each commandment in its entirety gives an importance to every side of our life. The Ten Commandments are a basic set of divine laws in the Bible, also called the Decalogue. The Ten Commandments form the


People who deny the value of the Ten Commandments are fooling themselves into a life that has no strength, no guidelines, no assurance of stability nor of hope. The Ten Commandments do not allow people to dangle in knowing what to do. The Ten Commandments eliminate chaos where man's judgment is concerned, man's logic is made to make decisions of right or wrong.

I feel that the fourth Commandment "Honor thy Mother and Father" is the most significant Commandment. The goal of this Commandment is to respect and love our parents; to obey them and to help them; and to respect and obey those in authority.

This Commandment was set down for men and women to better understand that honor, love, respect, and dignity played a significant role in everyday life. This Rule would automatically stabilize man's thinking, and permit man to rationalize the order of things. This Commandment rings with a natural obedie
