When I chose the theme of resurrection I wanted to really know what the definition of theword resurrection means. When I thought of the word, I was reminded of the Bible and the things that happened inside its text. So I looked up the word resurrection in the Bible Dictionary, it states, “The resurrection consists in the uniting of a spirit body with a body of flesh and bones, Throughout the book, there were instances when resurrection occurred. For most of those they were in some way tied back to Lucy Manette. The characters that were resurrected were Alexander Manette, Sydney Carton, and Charles Darnay. The characters that Lucy Manette directly affected were her father, Alexander Manette, and Sydney Carton. Lucy Manette is a very considerate and understanding person that helps in the restoring of both Alexander and Sydney. When we are first introduced to Lucy she is only at the young age of seventeen, but as we learned her maturity is well beyond the age of seventeen. Her character is the perfect example of a ideal Victorian Age woman. To their standards she is perfect in every way, even according to the author of this book, Charles Dickens.
