The show has affected people subconsciously into reinforcing the public’s hopes for an American Dream of their own. The American Dream is to have a nice house, a good job, a happy family, and a lot of money. The Simpsons have all of this, but each benefit comes with a twist. This comical and entertaining cartoon represents the American Dream of a typical family life, which embodies America’s widely shared culture through its portrayal of the perfect family structure.Homer, the father, is the main character that gets the most attention in most of the episodes. This may be because he is the most comical of all characters due to his stupidity. The irony is that he works at a nuclear power plant, where he hardly works at all.
