This is the kind of writing that I detest, write about something that I am not sure if I really know. From the past semester and from the actual one I am suppose to know how to write a decent essay, so I am going to tell you how to do it. The most important things in order to write a good essay are: to have a clear thesis statement; some good topic sentences and of course, a lot of supporting ideas. If you can do what I just said, stop reading, do not lose your time and energy.

First of all, as I have said, you have to come up with an interesting thesis statement, because if you do not, you will not be able to make other people read your work. If you are not able to find a good one, try using the method of "free-writing", it consist in write anything that comes to your mind in a period of 15 minutes, then you can chose an idea and develop it. In order to give credibility to your essay you need to have supporting ideas, in other words, examples. The more examples you have, the more credible is your essay. There are different kinds of examples. An example can be some statistics than you can copy from a book in order to make your information more precise. Other type of example or support that gives huge credibility to your essay is quoting from an authority in the subject that you are writing about. When you use one of this two methods of support you have to put a reference of the book from which you got the information, I mean, you have to say who is the author, where in the book he say what you quote and when the book was written.
