Teacher's Nature

The nature of a teacher spans over many areas. They come from all walks of life- family members, peers, coworkers, and do not forget the professional teacher. No matter who they may be, where they come from, or what they do a teacher's primary function is to teach. Some of them may be unwitting teachers and do not know what they are doing but they are teachers nonetheless. It is possible to say that even the convicted criminal has lessons to teach. Without them helping lead the way, the future may one-day come to a screeching halt.

Children learn from the day they are born and far into adulthood. The first trainers in life are family members. Parents and siblings teach newborn infants to trust people and rely on them to care for and nurture them. The family unit is also responsible for the first steps a child takes in life, this helps them grow and development and take on greater challenges. As children grow older the are also taught respect by their family. Children are taught to respect themselves, others people and animals. Many of the core values accepted by society are established at home and carried over to the outside worl


Professional institutions (schools) also play an important part in the teaching of people. To begin with, when children begin their career as students it is the responsibility of the teacher to ensure that the children become willing recipients of knowledge. A basic function is to keep the student interested in a topic. Teachers need to be creative today; they compete with the Internet and World Wide Web, fast pace action games, and of course Hollywood and the glamour of movies. To be competitive with all of these things instructors need to be able to incorporate as much of these media devices into everyday learning. On a sidebar teachers are also role models and mentors whose images stay with the students and drive them on to success. Not to mention that teachers must have passion and enthusiasm for the job, otherwise the students will feel neglected and not have the desire to learn. Remember the professor in the '80's movie "Ferris Buler's Day Off" it was no wonder why Ferris decided to skip school, take a joy ride, catch a Cubs game and sign in a parade.
