On September 11, 2001, the United States was attacked. No, another country didn’t bomb our oil reserves, or unleash a fierce military raid on a certain city or state. Instead the incident was more like a hate crime. The objective was pure evil, to cause havoc and complete kayous. There was no military or economic gain, but instead a personal desire by a group to use violence. In the Webster’s dictionary Terrorism is defined as the unlawful use or threatened use of force or violence by a person or an organized group against people or property with the intention of intimidating or coercing societies or governments, often for ideological or political reasons. With this definition mind I don’t believe anyone could argue that what happened on September 11, was a form of terrorism.
