Q. Disguise are common in this play. Discuss the purpose these disguises serve. In the play “Twelf Night”, disguises play an overwhelmingly large role. The characters use the disguises for personnel gain, protection, emotional reasons, and psychological reasons. They ad lots of tension and confusion between the characters with the constant threat of being caught, or in the case of psychological disguises criticised and being forced to having the disguise become so much more intense that it runs there life. Disguises are a part of the play in many different ways, in the following the purpose and effects that some of these disguises serve will be analysed.
