Elizabeth is a film about the early years of the reign

of Queen Elizabeth I of England. The movie shows how Queen

Elizabeth is given the power to rule England and is faced

with challenges. Elizabeth's reign was threatened largely

because she did NOT have absolute power. The whole movie

portrays Queen Elizabeth in danger and hated by powerful

enemies, but in the end Elizabeth relies upon the most

ruthless of her counselors, in her case the master Francis

Walsingham, to crush her foes and ensure
