Evolution or Creation
(A letter from me to crystalfalcon who is a pagan with a scientific mindset. I know witnessing is't about winning arguements. But I consider evolution to be an insult to every human that was ever brout up into exhistance. Me and crystalfalcon have had an on-going dialogue for two weeks now. The whole discussion has proved to be stimulating and engaging for both of us, this letter is one of my most recent ones, there is not however a spirit of argumentiveness) Well it sounds like we're getting down to the nuts and bolts of out discussion. I was not, however, steamed at your reply, you were just being honest and I admire that. Later we'll talk more about what you said concerning the laws of nature. But then there would be no sense in trying to prove each other wrong unless you and I have some sort of agreement as to what right and wrong are; just as there'd be no sense in saying that a football player had committed a foul unless there was some agreement on the rules of football. thus our on-going discussion will turn into an on-going quarrel. Even so this has already proved to be engaging, I'v not had a challenge like this ever. In this letter I'm going to press upon you my tak on the theory of evolution.
The Bible does teach an act of creation by God of a universe out of formless void, and then individual acts of creation in an ascending order from the simpler forms of aquatic life to the mammals and finally to a creaturemade in Gods image-man. Human beings did not evolve out of the primordial ooze. they are special creations of an all-powerfull God. No picture paints itself, no building buildes itself, so why wouuld we humans or the world be any different. Example:The second law of thermodynamics implies that left ot itself, everything tends to become less ordered, not more ordered or efficiente. This rule is an obervation of the obvious: Things grow old, rund down and eventually die or decay. They lose their structure. The theory of evolution says that things develop their complexity and structure. This is not the case. Therefor, it can be said that the Bible teaches "creation in ascending order." Whent the scientists discover the ascending order of the plants and animals on Earth, their factual observations are generally in harmony with the Bible. The scientists go wrong, however, when they attempt to draw theological theories of origins from their findings.
