“A Raisin In The Sun”, “Death Of a Salesman”, and my very own FamilyIn the plays “A Raisin in The Sun” by Lorraine Hansberry and “Death of A Salesman” by Arthur Miller, many of the characters have dreams. These plays relate to my life because we all have dreams that we would like to fulfill, however, there are many obstacles along the way before we can fulfill them. As in our society today, some people end up poor, some end up rich, but either way it all depends on if they end up happy. In this thesis I will be expressing how I can relate these plays to my life and show how they relate to each other. Beneatha from “A Raisin In The Sun” is very ambitious and asks a lot of questions. She is the type of person that needs to plan things out before she does them. Ruth says that she wants to have a baby and right away Beneatha says, “Where is he going to live? On the roof?”(Pg 58). My cousin decided that she wanted to have a baby and right away my family began to ask questions. Who is the baby going to live with? How are you going to support it? You don’t even own your own house! I think that people plan life too much. It is important to plan and prepare for your future, but it’s also important to not be afraid of new things
