A detailed Summary of What is Success?


Success is something that changes from one person to the other. Each persons definition of success is different depending on the situation. I think that It is good for us to know our limitation so we can strive to better ourselves. If we set our expectations too low or too high we are not doing ourselves any good. We must be honest with ourselves. Is this essay I will talk about how our views of success can be changed depending on our upbringing, what our friends and those around us decide as success, and our previous experience in that area.

It's quite obvious that our views or success can change depending on who we are and whose views and morals were placed upon us. Our parents can have the largest affect on their offspring's definition of success. They are the ones that will either make it clear that he/she must work as hard as possible to get good grades (school for example). H


Our success can also be measures according to our previous experience in that area. The person may know that they can't skate so the won't expect o do very well when they start to play hockey, but this expectation will change dramatically for someone who already is a good skater or has played before.

The truth is that we base our success on may different things than just what we can do or what we think that we can do. It depends on those around us as well as what we have done before, whatever the case we must not set our expectations too low nor too high. If we set them too low we are doomed to succeed but never to be challenged. If we set them too high we are doomed to fail and maybe to never try it again. It is up to us to know ourselves and how well we can do, and go from there.
